No expense was spared when I built up this spotless '04 DR 650 for adventure touring. It has 8800 miles and could pass for a 2 year old bike, it's that clean. Purchased from the original senior owner who used it as a "grocery getter", almost no offroad. Fires up instantly and idles perfectly, carb was just professionally cleaned, smog removed and "uncorked" (snorkel removed, needle shimmed).
Here are the carefully chosen and professionally installed mods:
~ 5.3 gallon Acerbis fuel tank (I am getting well over 200 miles range) with dual fuel taps (lets you run the tank bone dry without tilting the bike to slosh gas over to one side!)
~ Acerbis front fender (nice and stiff, does not wiggle at freeway speeds like the stocker- THIS IS NOT a motard or supermoto fender- those WILL spray your face, trust me!)
~ Acerbis headlight (this saves over 5 pounds and uses the same bulb as stock)
~ Seat Concepts Dual Sport seat (WAY more comfy than stock, but not too huge)
~ Suzuki factory rear rack and Wolfman side racks (these are custom-made for the DR and the look and fit is the best)
~ Pro Taper tall risers and "CR-Hi" bars
~ USB connection for charging phone, etc and garmin gps power plug and mount (gps not included)
~ Heated grips
~ Nearly-new dual sport tires (surprisingly good in the dirt and fabulous on the road)
~ Suspension overhauled and re-sprung for a 200 pound rider by 707 Racing
This is the nicest DR around! It's a fairly tall bike, I'm 5'9" and on tip toes. I have EVERY stock component and they will be included in the sale. Clean CA title in hand. Interesting streetbike trades considered
