New WeeStrom rider in Dublin

Gudday all!

I've just moved to Dublin with my family from just outside of DC (on the Virginia side) and plan on commuting as much as possible into SF on my bike.

Will be looking for gear advice (is a roadcrafter a good year-round choice?), riding advice (is lane splitting as scary as it looks?), and roads advice (mt diablo looks fun?)

PS: My bike isn't quite here yet as she's in a moving truck somewhere in the midwest

YES, splitting is dangerous and tricky ..... read up by searching General, Training, and LEO forums on the topic.....THEN hit us with the questions !

If you'd like, I've no doubt there's some of us that'd ride along with ya, to help get you acclimated.
