New prescriptions - cheap options?

I need new glasses and sunglasses. My insurance is shit and still will cost me over $100 just for some pretty basic stuff, not including frames.

For glasses, it needs to be anti-scratch and anti-glare.
For sunglasses, it needs to be polarized, anti-scratch, and anti-glare.

Got any sources for good/stylish and cheap prescriptions? I know Zenni is a big one, but looking for other options. It's a little frustrating when frames cost $300 and they're just a piece of mass produced plastic.

Find and buy the frames first... (online)

Take the in like like you’ve owned them and get new lenses.

As long as you have a simple prescription, Costco works well. They could not get my SOs progressive prescription right. After 3 tries, we gave up. Her prescription was not complicated.

I bought a sunglass from 39dollarglasses.com it was not bad at all, since I am practically blind and needed one for driving/riding. Check it out.

I did Warby Parker and was happy with the results.

The rest of my family has been really happy with Zenni

Thanks all. Funny to hear so many positive reviews of Costco. Last time I went there they messed up the Rx, and the options weren't very good to begin with.

I really like Ray Bans. But they are so damn expensive. Luckily there are a lot of similar styles for under $20 on these discount sites mentioned.
