i really don't wanna "learn" a new OS
i'd probably have tried an iphone by now if every single thing that plugged into it wasn't also proprietary. Which is in itself silly because what's the cost of another charger in the grand scheme of things? It's the principle though :x
It was between the oneplus, v60. I considered the pixel 5 but 4000 mah battery vs 5000 and a slower/older processor with a higher price tag made it not in the final running.
Oneplus and the v60 really just came down to price.
Nothing much to learn on Android vs iOS really.
Got me there on the plugs. Apple REALLY should go to USB-C on the iPhone but they make money on licensing Lightening cables. Wireless charging is a thing now so jump on board. Even wireless charging pads are available for cars so the whole "plug is proprietary" is becoming a lame excuse especially since you can connect many things via BT.
The main thing that bothers me about Android is, unless you get a pure Android phone, you are beholden to the manufactures for software updates. 2 or 3 years at most. Now, some people don't hold on to their phones for that long. But, with ever increasing prices, people are holding onto them much longer.
iOS 14 supports the iPhone 6S...that came out in late 2015. I could be wrong, but Android 11 doesn't support anything older than 2017. To be fair, is that a good metric? Not sure. But, for those owning older phones, having the latest software and security updates seems pretty important.
I don't know...at the end of the day, buy what you like. They all do the same shit anyway. Just keep reminding your friends/family with iPhones that you are the green bubble guy. :laughing
