New discovery in Pompeii

It is so bloody amazing how the color was preserved. Most people think of grand, stark white marble when they think of Rome in antiquity and don't know what stunningly gaudy and bright colors they painted everything.

Everything was so vibrant and bright and obnoxious, it was almost like it was designed by real Italians...

The finding there is very cool.

I went to Pompeii years ago and thought there would be more to see. Then I went to Herculaneum and was blown away by the preservation. There's multi story buildings, amazing frescoes and mosaics. If in Naples I highly recommend going.
