i haven't done them but just make sure you don't get any of the brake fluid on your bike cause it'll eat up all the paint and make sure you bleed all or as much of the air as you possibly can. :)

Let us know on any snags you encounter. I plan on replacing the lines on the R6 too.

I put a set on last october before my first trackday on the hawk. There is a difinate difference. The better your master cylinder and calipers the better the improvement. You might want to upgrade on pads too.

I'm probably going to go with the Galfers. They are cheaper and come in custom colors to increase your :instanceliness factor:D

I have Galfers on my GSXR front and rear...I LOVE them, and swear by them! (SS lines vs. OEM rubber) I installed them myself, and a couple things i can offer are...

1) Be patient when bleeding the lines. Mine took a little while before the fluid started moving after it was completely drained.

2) Once the fluid is pretty much replaced, I jiggle the lines when I bleed them to shake loose tiny air bubbles trapped inside the lines. Once I get no more bubbles, I build up the pressure, and purge the system at the banjo bolt up by the master cylinder. Of course, I put a rag underneath so I dont get fluid all over the shiny parts. But I purge it once or twice up there, just to make sure all the air is released that may have been trapped up in the upper crevices...

Hope this helps you...Let us know how it turns out!

i replaced mine last year. picked up a set of SS front for 16 bucks off ebay. got pretty lucky with that one. those were pretty easy to install. the new washers they gave kept leaking, so i used other ones and it worked perfectly.

huge difference in braking power. you don't have to squeeze as hard. it's defintely worth it.

Working in a field where I have access to medical supplies, a 60cc syringe can be helpful bleeding the lines...

chapparal sells a cool looking tool which forces fluid into the caliper. might work better than gravity or mityvac bleeding or even the ole' "pump and hold" method :D

you gonna' get russell bleeders for afterwards?

if it's cheaper than the $27 chapparal wants then that is the hot deal for sure! don't know about them adapters though if the bike already has russell bleeders none of this will work right. can you score a bunch of syringes for barf? (brake bleeding purposes only of course!)

hmm. 60cc's. buttload. there's a joke in there ain't there :teeth
