New bike purchase

So I went out and purchased a 2019 Tuono V4 RR to upgrade my GSXS1000F. The bike is wonderful for the 120 miles I have put on it so far.

I have an observation for anyone who may want to purchase one of these or the RSV 1100 V4. You will not have your license for long. :ride

I will post some pictures soon. Can someone tell me how to get those stickers they have on the gas tank off without damaging anything?

Why would they put these ugly ass stickers all over the bike that are basically warnings for the obvious. I think one of them states the exhaust might be hot after riding the bike. Well shit, after 50 years of riding I would not have known that :)

This thing is ridiculous. Its not broken in so I have been very gentle with her and can already tell this is a problem. Fun problem, but a problem. That thing just wants to haul ass everywhere.

Hairdryer for a minute or so and then with hairdryer still on the sticker start to sloooooowly peel away.

Welcome to the addiction. I swapped my 2017 R1M for a '16 Ape Tuono V4F and am loving it.

I should have got a "sensible bike with handlebars" as my wife calls it, years ago.

Best bike I’ve ever owned. Surprisingly comfortable and wicked fast.

I used a heat gun for sticker removal for all but the windshield one. That sticker was vinyl and held on by static.
Enjoy!

Thank you for that information. I kept thinking do I really need to take it apart to get that one behind the screen.

This. The windshield one looked like it would be a pain because near impossible to reach at least on mine but it came right off. Then of the other 6-10 (I can't remember but it was a lot) about half came off with reasonable effort and the others were a pain.

I asked for the dealer to not put the stickers on mine because it was still in the crate when I was closing the deal but they wouldn't budge on that. I assume they can get a big fine if they don't put them on.

Great bikes and for me quite comfortable though I know some don't think so. Beware the back end roosters a lot of muck up off the ground. If riding in wet or damp be prepared to spend a bit of time wiping it down and probably your jacket too. Hopefully you get some decent break in weather soon.

Maybe they can just tape them on with masking tape while still on their backing. I wonder if that counts for compliance.

I rode the first generation Tuono twin at the San Mateo bike show many years ago and that was wheelie fun. I can't imagine a V 4 insanity!

Been 5 years since I bought mine. I don't remember exactly how the conversation went but I am pretty sure I left there with them knowing I was not at all happy about them having to put the stickers on. I would have rather received them all in a booklet and had to pass a quiz or something noting that I was aware of them and knew what they were preaching.

How about asking the dealer to wax the areas that will get the stickers before they apply them.

Or better still, wipe the area down with WD40

I test road my buddies 2016 Tuono and WOW that sound and torque was amazing. Hopefully this year it I can sell my one of my bikes and pickup a 2019 Tuono. Wait till you pull the mid pipe and flash the ECU and unleash the monster. The worst thing ever is buying a used bike that someone hasn't removed those stupid safety stickers and now when you remove them you have the ghost in the paint job ..arggh.

I got to ride a RSV4 1100 Factory at Aprilia Racers Day at Buttonwillow few months ago. I've never ridden anything so terrifyingly fast before. It had so much power, when you twist that throttle you better be prepared. I probably should have tried to lug it more but 1st and 2nd gear was pretty much all I used and in those gears it's a rocketship.

There's me trying not to die
