Current: Running, but rough and stalls without choke. Added Seafoam and it ran better, but would die at idle.

History: Bike sat for years, would barely run. Towed to mechanic last year. They cleaned out the tank of rust and resprayed, did a tuneup, replaced fuel filters, cleaned carbs. Ran ok, not great. Bike sat for another month, gas went bad. Drained tank, replaced gas. Battery went dead. Sat for another few months. Now I have a new battery installed.

I need someone to come and take a look. May need carb adjustment, or a filter replaced, or whatever. I'm not a mechanic, hence the need for one.

Please reply here and I'll get back to you. If applicable please give me your hourly rate, or any other info you have.

Mods: If this is in the wrong place, please move it. I couldn't find the appropriate place to post it.

Thanks,

Sean

clogged jets

The California gas has gummed up your carburetor jets. You can fix it without removing the carburetors by removing the fuel tank, remove the carb top covers, pull the needles and the diaphragms, spray and fill each carb bowl with carb cleaner (about 10 seconds holding the nozzle), let it sit for an hour (about the time to put the carbs needles, diaphragms, covers and fuel tank back on), crank and ride. If you aren't comfortable doing it, rent a U-haul bike trailer, (about $16 a day) and haul the bike to a shop.
