FWIW, i have heard that HWY 162 AKA Oroville Quincy HWY is niceer and less traffic than 70 out of Oroville. Or take 162 up and 70 back. make a loop out of it and let me know whow it goes. Im heading out that way in a few weeks to make it up to Mt. Lassen.

Have fun.

I like 113 and 20 out in the valley. They're nice roads except for when they're slathered in tomatoes that have fallen off the truck...

Andy, not Hwy 128 and 20 (Williams). Done those roads too much already. But I like the rest of the route. That will cut the trip to about ??? miles & ? hours. I sent you a pm...

This is what I saw on Youtube that convinced me to go out there and ride.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_MGLlfCZyE&feature=g-all-c

Those were nice roads, don't you think?
I dun tried watch'in the video, but see'in it's long, the guy babbles too much, and keeps turn'in is head like one of them bobble dolls, I didn't get much past Antelope Lake. It looks like they'z start'in from Greenville or Quincy :teeth which iz a lot closer than Vallejo! :laughing

Recedite, plebes!
If you're heading up 70 towards Quincy stop at Belden (Belden Town). The river is on your right and across on the left will be a small powerhouse, turn right (Belden Town Road) and go across the single lane trestle bridge. Nice place to have a cold beverage and food while sitting out on the deck overlooking the river.

Might also consider 113 through Knights Landing and sections of 99 (or other roads that parallel 99) rather than taking 70. Must nicer and way less traffic!!!
Between Woodland and Davis work you way over to 128 then down 121 down to Napa and home. Freeways suck!

Will, thanks for the PM, but it's an awfully long ride. I'll probably have to pass on that. Sure looks like fun though.

Sorry.....too much freeway for my liking especially this time of year when the Valley can really heat up and make a m/c ride miserable.

No worries Rod, really the best case scenario here is max of 8 hours total.
That's fine Greg. Really, too much freeway for yah?

BB is doing the routing right now. So Andy, if you're reading this :laughing. cut it down to 8 hrs. pls.
You can disregard Colusa off the route...
Aprreciate it man....
