Need Ford Mustang mechanic stat!

Anyone got any suggestions on top notch Ford Mustang mechanics?
I think I broke my new toy and it's going to take major work to fix.
Here's the list I think will need to be fixed:
Replace heads (I think I burnt a valve);
Check/replace all bolts/connnections along the drive line from the bell housing to the differential;
Replace differential;
Check/adjust gear shift linkage;
Check electrical for low level power bleed.

The new problem is the valve issue and this is definitely my fault for driving it like hell was on my heals. I've been needing to have all the other stuff done since I got the car but just never got around to it.

What year Mustang?
Also, are you looking to supply your own parts? Most 9-5 professional mechanics won't touch such a project unless they are supplying the parts and even then good luck if they aren't smog legal parts.

If it were me, I'd do everything except the rear diff. The electrical problem is probably going to be a pain to diagnose, but I would start looking at stereo equipment, alarms or other non-OEM add on components.

Thanks, guys.

It's a 2011 GT CE.
The BOSS intake manifold and accompanying fuel remap probably had something to do with the burnt valve.:gsxrgrl:teeth

My expectation is that whoever does the work will provide the parts as well.

I did some business with the mustang ranch in Santa clara some years back and i would rather junk a car than deal with them again. Incompetent at every turn.

My son has a '68 Mustang for his daily driver and he uses Mustang Fever in Santa Clara for all his maintenance and repair jobs. He tried Mustang Ranch once and won't ever go back.

I don't have the space, time, or tools (or current knowledge) to do the job right. What I'm looking for a is a place that will treat my baby right and give me back a tight, wound up power monster so I can run the wheels off it again...they may have a repeat customer in me if they do the job right.

In that case just get ready to write the checks. I have a guy that I would recommend, but he's not set up to do dyno tuning etc.
Local Mustang forums have to have some recommendations.

He get the clap?

I would rather get the clap and give it to my wife and find out in front of my preacher, my mom, the inlaws, and my very conservative boss than take a car to that fucking place.

OP could bring his car there in its current fucked up state and it would leave with no brakes and the differential removed, but without a new one and an insistence that it was fine when they gave it to him.

What a bunch of pig fuckers.

And by pig fuckers I mean, ones who fuck pigs.

For our German readers: Fuck those guys.

Sorry, I don't actually know any German

Yes, I am already thinking it's going to cost to fix it proper. I'm estimating parts alone at around $3-5k. So total job $9-15k depeding on what is actually broken (I'm praying the engine noise is a burnt valve and not something deeper).

I have grown to trust my fellow barf'ers. I don't really go to any other forums and don't want to work through the newbiness of joining a Mustang forum.

Being realistic is always a great way to start. Too often you hear about guys wanting someone else to do the work, but not willing to pay for it.

Hope the Mustang turns out fast. For 9K it should! Just tell me you are spending it on a Coyote 5.0. :laughing

I don't know what the block is. If I need to replace the entire engine it's going to get a Coyote. But that may eat up my entire budget. I really need to get the other things done as well.

+1 on replacement crate engine (does ford make those ? ) before blowing a bunch of $$ on repairing a halfway wore out engine

On the topic of savings and replacing the motor, look around and I'll bet you can find a crashed car with a good motor.

May or may not be easier.
