My first new vehicle purchase ever. Tiger 800.

My VFR was approx 60% adrenaline and 40% adventure, this is more like the opposite split. Am I getting old? Perhaps :).

The pictures don't work, but I sure wish they did. These bikes look awesome. I really like this whole genre of bikes, MTS, GS and tiger. Seeexxxaaayyy.

^^^ correct, the Tiger 800's don't really photograph well, much better looking in person, in any color.....

Very nice. I opted for the non-XC. I do lots of dual sporting on my more capable DRZ, didn't want to deal with a tubed tire since this is my mostly road bike. Hell, I did the Dalton Highway on the VFR, heh.

Yea, had the reverse situation - a Speed Triple for a more capable street bike, so the regular 800 would have been kinda redundant. Anyway, I've had a great time on mine. Just a super well-sorted bike. You got some nice extra farkles too. How is the tall windscreen? The stock was so bad that I threw down for a madstad.

That's the stock screen.

The madstad is just so... ugly. :)

Congrats. I have one too. Bought it back in May. It was my first ever brand new vehicle purchase too.

Well, I was actually not SEEING the images when I was on my phone. I personally like the way they look in photos, but I would agree they look better in person.

I thought about it after I hit post....:laughing:laughing yep, that's what you really meant. one thing I noticed is that more people prefer the cast wheels over the spoke ones.....

Yeah, the spoked ones aren't trick tubeless spoked like BMWs have... and people say you can absolutely feel the heavier 21" front, the cast 19" makes the non-XC much more flickable on mountain roads... where mine will spend 95% of its time. 5% will be on dirt roads that connect to the pavement...
