Mundane endings to Race Seasons

I can put the TV on "hibernate" through the coming months and save a lot of money. Last year, I waited until the end of the race seasons. This year, all three of the things I keep tabs on - Moto GP, WSBK and F1 - have all had their championships wrapped before the end of October (Lewis will get it in Mexico). It'd sure be nice is someone stepped up and challenged Rea or MM93. Lewis has had to work for it a bit more but still... and it was nice to see Kimi win in TX. Yamaha's issues certainly didn't help Vale or Mav and Rea just doesn't have anyone in his league right now. I was hoping it'd be Melandri. Not sure where he's headed now. I was hoping to Moto America on something.

Championships being wrapped up early sucks, but good racing is good racing. Hoping for a few more fun ones from GP. But I stopped watching SBK and never cared for F1 because they're too boring/predictable.

If Chaz Davies can keep from crashing the new Ducati V4, he should be able to make it tougher for Rea to win the next championship. I don't have quite as much hope for MotoGP.

I always love to etch good racing. Some re racing for their future and that make it good.

F1. Somebody passed under green right?? :p

Yeah. After Vettel spun on the first lap he went from 4th to 18th and passed everyone back to finish 4th.
The top three lapped the field up to 9th.

Seb had enough car this year but a few dumb errors and bad luck killed him.

After DirecTV dropped BeIN Sports, I have only been watching the highlights of the races on YouTube for MotoGP, WSBK, and MotoAmerica. Up to that point, I was like a kid on Christmas morning...watching first chance I got. And F1 isn't really doing it for me this season. Hard to watch the mistakes from Vettel and the bad luck of Ricciardo.

There are about 4-5 drivers capable of sifting through the pack to make it to the top 3.
The rest are just field filler.
Sad case, we haven't seen much excitement from this year in most racing.
Nascar… HBRL lets not even go there. Its been slipping for years.

How is that different from MotoGP or World Superbike?

You know that the same few riders are always at the front and more than half the field is unlikely to get on the podium during the year.

Not sure where the 'bad luck' came to play. Did he have any more of the usual unlucky breaks than Hamilton had?

Vettel did himself in with his decisions and temporary loss of focus (spin out while in the lead). It was shaping up to be one of the best seasons in awhile until he started brain-farting, Hamilton is simply a much more focused racer in the latter part of the season than Vettel.

IF... KTM can actually live up to their talk and make a competitive bike, I believe Brad Binder will be your next Moto GP champion. Mark's a nice kid but he doesn't have the flair(sp) that early Vale had nor Super Sic - ESPECIALLY Super Sic. JLo tried as did MM but... Nicky was likeable but still not as theatrical. I have to say, Jon Rea's "Dead Man's Hand" into"Four Aces" celebration was innovative, especially with the other players at the table dressed in Kawi garb. I sure wish Aprilila would figure something out. Without Gigi D, they're really lost. Sooner or later, all of the manufacturers will be in Moto GP again.

Hell, the guy with the "Bad Luck" was Daniel Riccardo! Alonso just went with a lesser package but Ricardo's (and Verstappen's) cars can win when they stay functional. Danny's move to Renault will be interesting and I hope productive.

Is Brad Binder coming up from a lower class or something? I haven't heard that name in a single MotoGP race this year.

Brad Binder is the South African rider who was Moto3 champ in ‘16 on a KTM by 140 points or something ... he won the German GP and Aragon on the KTM chassis in Moto2 this season ... would love to see him winning for KTM in MotoGP someday ... :ride

really enjoying watching KTM trying to claw their way back in Moto3 after being stomped by Honda in ‘17 ...

Honda rider Jorge Martín leads KTM racer Marco Bezzecchi by a single point after 16 races going into Australia this week ... just love the close racing and drafting in Moto3 ... fun to root for KTM in Moto3, the little racing company involved in all the MotoGP classes, against the alpha-dog Honda ... Bezzecchi pulled out a win from second place by 1/1000 of a second last Sunday ... :laughing

this Sunday should be another Moto3 barn-burner with a championship still up for grabs ... :thumbup

Lewis wrapping it up in Mexico means no team order for 2 better races before the end :p
Not to mention that we have some very talented riders on top teams (Kimmi, Ricardo) who are moving to new teams next year so don't owe their teammates anything.....

Could be, Lewis may take his foot out of it.

One interesting thing in the Mexican GP was when Kimmi was very fair to Hamilton when Hamilton was passing him, I wonder how many on the Ferrari team wish he had taken the opportunity to take Hamilton out of the race with some hard defense.

I was thinking the same thing, but Ferrari hasn’t shown any sort of a killer instinct all season and with Kimi leaving he had no motivation to do something untoward. Honestly, it was out of reach anyway. Seb won’t sleep well many winter nights this year.

Somewhat enjoyed Sky’s broadcast with no/few commercials but goddamn those fellas yak like a morning zoo radio show.
