Yeah... to some extent. I notice that seeing people in restaurants and doing other stuff has me longing for some of those things. It has not ruined them, but for sure gives me a different perspective.

Even the few TV series I follow gives me a clue as what life used to be like and I did not know how good that was.

My wife and I were watching blue bloods last night.

I mentioned to her it's going to be really weird when they come back for the next season next fall because how do you do all that stuff that the police do and maintain social distancing I don't know just weird.

Not so much movies but documentaries.

One of my all time favorite documentaries is on British policing. It's called Hot Fuzz. Maybe you have seen it? Came out in the 2000s.

It featured Chief Inspector Nicholas Angel and Constable (later Sargeant) Danny Butterman.

Taught me a lot about how the Brits conduct business. Very informative.

No. I flatly refuse to believe things will stay the way they are, and we can go back to being normal humans. This mask shit drives me crazy.

Watching 1950's Scfi horror movies. Some lend to the Scientists, politicians and public involvement during crisis.

One was a C-movie about the fear of the Hydrogen Bomb. Scientists devised a plan to save the human race by colonizing deep inside the Earth's core. Spoiler the Earth isn't vaporized and the scientist committed suicide when the Rabbit couldn't reproduce. Somewhat similar to today except the Rabbits still get it on nicely.

no. my babe is into zombie shit. and all other manner of dystopian and / or weird ass horror crap. he watches it non-stop (he doesn’t actually watch it - he just has it on the TV while he’s doing other shit, and apparently paying no attention what-so-ever - which only adds to my annoyance).

edit - don’t get excited - he does love zombie movies, but the dystopian and weird ass horror crap is mostly the news.

Interesting, I haven't had this reaction while watching TV/movies recently.

The closest I can sorta relate was watching Commando the other day. Arnold is chasing a bad guy who is desperately looking for a payphone to call his partner to murder the hostage.

I'm thinking, "Why doesn't this guy just steal somebody's cell phone?" :dunno

Oh right. Because it's 1985. :laughing
