If I was #1 in MotoGP, I'd show off a little too.

Absolutely..Even if he is sayin "suck it losers, that didn't get the #1 plate, and don't have initials that can be crammed into a 1" It's something that he can do, and How many people are there, that have the frame of mind, he has, to get that #1 plate?

I'd take a wild guess, and say, they are all in the front rows on the grid, and not criticizing his graphics. :laughing

P.S.

I'll say it now that I think Stoner will claim the last 800cc title, which would be an interesting stat as he won the first one. If he wins 2011, he would have bookended the entire 800cc era. HRC's desperate for a win too, otherwise they'd close out the 800cc without a title.

I agree. When Stoner signed with HRC, I was wondering who was going to be runner up. I think Stoner now has the bike and the factory backing to get back on top. Pedobot couldn't deliver, so I think the main HRC factory effort will be behind Stoner.

Who is that short guy in the middle?

Kinda looks like Pedrosa, but...anyone hear of him getting face surgery so he can look like he is smiling?

stoner certainly has a god shot. a hurt rossi and pedro mean smore points up for grabs....jorge is seriously good, but a lack of sponsor means less cash flow means yam may focus more on 2012 than this years bike.

i think spies is the wild card here

Not as fast as I look.
:wtf Where are all these Stoner supporters coming from? I thought I was on a limb by myself, last year. And I believed that if he was on the Honda, oh - goodbye. :rofl

Anyway, don't count "the doctor" out, just yet. I think he may surprise like he did when he went to Yamaha.

Good racing this year (even with the mini bikes, gas limits, etc.), right?
:thumbup

you would be a fool to count out vale, no doubt. but I think there is too many things against him for a title run this year(shoulder, testing limits, the duc itself, getting back in shape). I think he will win races for sure. but bot the title...next year is a whole different ball game.

not Stan
...
Stoner's previous RCV experience was on an LCR 990cc, on Michelin tires. He's coming back to Honda after four to five years of HRC developing the RC212V to work with the tires Stoner's been riding for the same amount of time.

u missed the last phrase i typed in my last post.

while i def wont forget about all the changes/development that Honda has made over the years esp in terms of working w/ Bridgestones, i frankly dont think that Stoner has changed all that much.

the one positive that i see going for him is that at least the Honda's front end should be more consistent. i cant recall the last time i saw someone on that machine crash with a dumb look on their face like " :wtf how did that happen?!?" which seems to happen all to often on the Duc.

iono, i guess i dont like the "win it or bin it" types all too much.

Title, maybe not. Top three - possible. 2012 - he may be like his hero, Giacomo Agostini, and keep winning "late" in his career.

that he has only had one major injury will help. top 3? id gather yes.

as Ive said for awhile now, rossi I think will have alate season charge, but not win the title

just riffing off the "damn asians" barf meme. ....... I didn't think anyone would catch it so quick, but really, look at that guy........"When will Lord Buddha deliver us a world champion from Nippon?"

WTF LOL
I think it's more than a little amusing, the degree of general slagging-off @ Horhay's chances of being the fastest guy out there again this year.
Virtually everyone else needs to take a major step forward in order to be able to compete with his last-years performance. Unless he falls apart like a cheap watch, someones going to have to have their best season ever to out-perform him as the reigning World Champ on the best bike in arguably the best team that's already fully sorted. Anything can happen-true, but George is likely to be just as dominant as he was last season. :thumbup

Even with 2006 where Stoner had a very definite problem with the Michelins, his crash ratio is only 11% which is about the same as Hayden and of the aliens is beaten only by Rossi (8.3%). Lorenzo is actually more a crasher with over 16%.
