Hope the grid keeps growing.
Be cool to have more brands repped. Almost a SV cup at this point.

Russell Masecar is the man! He has done a lot to keep the class going back there. He put like 6 RBoM bikes on the track for VIR this weekend. He also organized and got a purse together for the SV/LWT Twins Challenge races at VIR and Barber the last few years. I think one year they had 30+ bikes! This also inspired the LW Twins WERA race at Willow Springs, which is happening again in June.

At this point i think only the Kawi is missing. Itd be cool to see them and more FZ07s. FZ07 still doesnt have proper support for aftermarket race parts, well bodywork mainly. When the KTM 790 shows up here well see what happens. It shows pending approval. They may have to (balance) rev limit it like they did with the Kawi 400 and KTM 390 for the Junior Cup for a level playing field. In all, the SV is proven to be one of the best motorcycles out there to learn to go fast on and build skills on.

There is a really cool picture in the May issue (pg. 48 iirc) of Cycle News with the top three finishers at VIR on SV's. I know theres a handful of those guys doing the whole circuit. Theres a few of us gaining momentum to make some west coast rounds. Im sure a few ringers will come out to play. Get that LWT Twin ready.

Yeah man, do it!

Round 3 Friday Before - Trackday & NRS
The next NRS (New Racer School) hosted by AFM will be during Round 6 at Sonoma Raceway on September 1, 2018. So if you are looking to acquire your race license for Round 3; Keigwin's@theTrack will be providing evaluations during their trackday on Friday, May 25, 2018 just before AFM Round 3.

Completing New Racer School on Friday with Keigwin's will allow you to race at Round 3.

West Coast Rounds are right around the corner. Get those pesky little SVs ready for action. Showcase your riding skills against the best in the nation. Grid up!

Contact AMA and MA to get the process started. Its quite involved if you never have and may take a few weeks. They do however answer the phone and respond to emails.

Also, make sure you prep according to MA rules. Tank foam, airbox, belly pan plug, toe guard, No 2 mil over, 5.5" rear wheel, rear rain light, etc
