So I had this great coupon but it was long expired - I emailed Motion Pro and they honored it and took care of my order with a personal touch. I was impressed - it's clear they care about and support the moto community. And now I finally have a super sweet pressure gauge for my shop and track days. Also should give a shout to the Pirelli truck because that was where I first saw this gauge and knew I needed one. :)

Every time I get a new motion pro tool I'm impressed with it's fit, finish, and function.

I just got this tool to replace the PDS bearings on my KTM and I was amazed how easy it made the job. No guessing to find center, no searching around for the perfect sized socket to use a bearing driver. Just assemble the tool in the correct configuration, a couple blows with a hammer and it was all done.

As the kids say, same. They carved out a niche long ago. My chain breaker set came missing a piece on a used buy and they replaced it for $5 plus shipping.

Maybe I'm the odd one out who thinks they are whatever and their staff doesn't care.

I bought one of their chain alignment tools for checking sprocket alignment. Upon using it I could quickly see that it was flawed. The tool didn't touch off on the sprocket properly (instead resting on the uneven chain pins) and the dowel rod was not straight. I contacted them and they asked for photos, and then said they don't see what the problem is and didn't reply again.

I have one of their cable lubers and it's great. But not that chain thing.

You're not alone my friend.

A few years back I ordered up a Mini-Bleeder, looked pretty nifty. It failed the FIRST time I used it... Called up Motion Pro, thinking they would replace it without a question (as it's a $11 part, and probably costs $2 to make). They responded to the first email, stated that it was my own fault for using it incorrectly, and then never responded again.

I used it incorrectly? You put it on the little nip and give it a turn. It didn't seal!...

Over the years I've used some friends motion pro stuff, was never all that impressed. It reminds me of Park Tools in the bicycle world. Everyone faps to their tools, when in reality they are pretty bad tools with great branding/marketing.

Park Tools is such utter shit. I got a set of allen wrenches from them that were all rounded off and the plating was all uneven.

I've recently used a Park torque wrench and found it to work great and have quality construction. Thought they likely simply rebranded some other manufacturer's product. 40 years ago they were near unobtanium for me. I saved my pennies to buy a set of their bicycle hub spanners which were fantastic. An early lesson in quality vs shite tools. Sorry to hear that their rep has gone down hill.

Funny you say that, i had the same problem with that exact tool on my Yamaha. Needle would seem straight, take it off and re-install it and get a completely different reading again :wow
