I have a 2000 civic ex with 145,000 miles that has had ZERO problems. I change the oil once every 15 to 20K miles :teeth and it hasnt seen the mechanic once for any problems, just a timing belt replacement. Its getting up in mileage so I'm expecting it to take a crap here soon.

Looking for viable options here....dont want to go honda again.

Treasure Hunter
1985 honda accord EX. 323,000 miles. Motor and tranny were SOLID, the car was donated because the rear wheels were rusted stuck, which meant I could not replace the master cylinders which were shot.

I then owned another 1985 accord and it was just as awesome.

These were the last models made in Japan I believe, which I think made them better built.

81 Honda Prelude, my first car. Over 100,000 miles. I think between 1986 and 1990 I changed the oil three times. I sold the car in 1990. I miss it...

1992 Toyota Paseo. I am still using it. :teeth It currently has more than 145,000 mile on it. Other than maintenance stuff, it does not give me any problems. I will most probably drive it until it dies on me. :)

How about a Toyota truck? or an Acura NSX.

I recommend you stay away from M3 - i sold mine because it cost me 700 dollars to change a freaking oxygen sensor.

i hate to say this, but it was a 1980 Ford Courier.
dad bought it when I was 6 months old, had my name on the plates.

i jsut sold it in May. She had only 56K miles on her. that truck never broke down, not once. Only thing I replaced on it was the exhaust and the master cyclinder.

Most reliable- Peugeot 406. Not available in the USA, unfortunately.

Current car, '82 Toyota Camry with 140k. Runs just fine, shakes a bit, has a few electrical bugs but what do you expect for $700?

Fuck off
My first vehicle was a 1986 Nissan pick-up, I got it from my father in '97 with a little less than 80k in on it and when I got in my accident in '99 it have just over 200k and all I had changed was the clutch and alternator, thing ran like a champ, as much of a beater as it looked damn thing got me everwhere and without problems, great gas mileage too !!! I actually miss it.

287,000 plus miles. Never had any problems with this Jeep, still running on the same original engine. It's my ugly ass baby that I've had since High School. I bought this Jeep Brand spanking new 14 years ago...:laughing

Rolls with it...
1971 Volvo P1800, got it '85, still have it.

1988 Honda Accord, daily driver bought in 2000.

(It used to be that any car name that ended with a vowel was pretty good - Dodge excluded!)
