Morgan Territory Road after the storm?

I am guessing that Morgan Territory Road is a shit show after all this rain. Makes me want to ride it tomorrow. Anybody been down it in the last few days and live to tell about it?

Do I take the dirt bike or the Strom?

Update:
Tamales Mi Lupita @ noon. Everybody is welcome. Then we head out to the territory!

If you're going to ride it tomorrow, let me know where/when to meet you, I'll be on my K12R. :teeth :thumbup

Are you gunna go all the way past the national park stop? of course you are. how is that road... lol. I tried it on my s1000rr and got sketched out and turned around. Never been more than 2 - 3 miles up it, after the national park parking lot.

You guys are crazy hahahaha thats like a dual sport road from the looks of it?

I'm riding end to end. On a good day it is narrow and bumpy. Tomorrow I am predicting standing water, rocks, and mudslides.

We made it back to tell the tale. It was actually in much better shape than I was expecting. A few rocks, lots of wet leaves and pine needles, and a few dirty patches. There was a mud patch where I lost traction in both wheels at the same time, for about a half second before sliding onto the pavement and regaining control. All in all a ride devoid of the adventure I was expecting.

Next time go faster. :x

Just kidding, it was a fun ride, thanks for putting it together. That road does prove that my bike is less nimble than yours, tho. :thumbup

The road is fine. I used to haul ass on my old first gen ZX-10...the '89 first gen. Of course, it's also the road I lost the front end on my DRZ on...:laughing

I would be hesitant with all the torque you have. Does that bike have traction control?

My KTM loved that road. In fact I cannot express how much fun that bike and I had out there. Still OK on the Multi but not the same, enduro mode or not. Expecting anything less that shit conditions for road bikes would be a mistake, and sounds as if the OP knows what's up. :thumbup

Ditto, my 690 SMC was built for Morgan Territory. I've been on that road a billion times, but only 3 or 4 times on something other than my sumo. Much more fun on a light bike with longer travel suspension.

In the summer, about once a year I suppose, they send a street sweeper up that road. I was getting more and more dust until it was a cloud and then I finally saw the sweeper truck, damn glad to get around that guy!

I just don't see that. It's a somewhat shoddily maintained road with rough patches. :dunno Nowhere near 'shit conditions', IMHO. :ride
