"Victory motorcycles lost more than $100 million in their 18 years in production."

18 years without profit? It's hard to stay in business with that business plan but the Indian brand is doing well, I think. They are going to make Harley improve and both brands will be better in the end.

I think Victory had a couple of profitable years like 2013.

If Indian can somehow make a Dyna-ish bike, they'll pick up a reasonable market share, following HD's blunder with the new Softail. Now is the time for mid controls and reasonable wheelbases and swingarm lengths!

Personally I like that Polaris, sans Victory, is taking the Indian brand into new areas, not just adhering to the vintage Indian look. They have models now without valanced fenders, so if your tastes don't run in that direction. But of course still carry on the Indian tradition with valanced fendered models.

And that motor they developed is pretty awesome, although I've not personally ridden one.

Another feather in their cap, they won the number one plate in flat track! :thumbup

The super Hooligan design is awesome on the Scout. Raise the rear, put some good internals in the forks and you've got a bitchin ride.

Hope the Polaris comes out with a Polaris or Indian electric motorcycle. I really would like to see the tech they put into the Victory Empulse TT get better. After owning it for a couple months it's a great bike but it could be better. Maybe they can make a Electric Cruiser because there's really no electric cruiser out there yet. I rode the Octane and I like that bike about as much as I like the HD V-Rod. But the bike sorta lives on through the Indian Scout.

They claim they'll have an electric Indian in a few more years. They're still trying to improve the technology and price point.

An electric Harley or Indian ain't gonna sell at all. Polaris already owns Brammo, but I think they'll keep those brand identities separate for reasons of customer segmentation.

They actually said they will have an electric Indian within the next five years a year or two ago. Same with Harley.

I'd like to see an Indian Chief Darkhorse without all the Indian branding items. It is a bit tacky.

I like the lines and would possibly buy one with most branding deleted.
