Maverick Vinales - Wins all the practices

Why can't Maverick convert his poles to wins? Why has he consistently went backward mid race when Q -and Rossi to some extent - run at the front on basically the same machinery? Last week's tire choice was the obvious answer but still, it's a pattern with him to fade. Hopefully he' finish strong this weekend and prove me wrong. Second to Rossi, or Dovi, would be great. :ride

Because the bike set up that makes the bike and tires work for an entire race is different than the set up for one or two fast laps in qualifying.

They’ve been teammates for 3 complete seasons and he finished in front of a Rossi in both 2017 and 2019. In those seasons they had equal number of DNFs. In 2018, Rossi finished in front of him by 5 points., but Mav had 4 DNFs to Rossi’s 2.

They are currently tied in points, but Vinales has two podium finishes (Both P2) and Rossi has one
podium finish in P3.

Conclusion: Mav sux, but Rossi sux worse
