RIP to a great athlete. I didn't like him much when he was playing insofar as theatrics and that particular play but he was great at his sport. Only a few of these guys rise above the rest and he was one of them.

I mean, 60 is pretty young, especially for someone that was literally a world class athlete and one of the best to ever play the game.

Booze and drugs probably took 30 years off his life.

I watched him back in the day when he played at Napoli. I’d drive into North Beach and watch Serie A games at that cafe which is now closed (forgot the name).

As we all know, he is a legend. Only 5’4. Because of his skin color, he was subjected to prejudice in his own country.... He brought Napoli, a garbage club prior to his arrival, to the promised land - the club’s first ever Serie A championship. And then again two years later.

His performance against England in the ‘86 WC is/was/will always be legendary.

...

Messi is good. Born in Argentina BUT basically grew up in Spain and never having played for an Argentinian club.

Hmmmm according to his bio had had a serious cocaine addiction and died due to complications from alcoholism.

Sucks how many famous people's lives fall apart from the pressures.
