Lowered suspension?

I need some clarification here.
Supermoto suspension used to be lowered fromm stock but from what I have heard, it's not done anymore.
Is this true? Do people use stock travel on converted dirt bikes now?

Are you street riding? Racing? Depends on the bike and type of riding but most revalve or respring the suspension of MX bikes without limiting travel. Supermoto racers stopped lowering bikes over ten years ago. The quality of suspension on late model bikes is much better than it was 15 or 20 years ago when limiting travel was more common.

just curious as I had an extra set of suspension for a 98 YZ400F lowered and valved for dirt track/supermoto use. Not really racing but just for riding.
I tried to sell it but being an old bike, there's no demand for it.
I know someone now that might need it
