Anybody done tent camping at Usal campground https://www.google.com/maps/@39.8317707,-123.8471394,1530m/data=!3m1!1e3 or any other campgrounds adjacent to shoreline?

Planning to do a family camping trip(incl kids ranging from 8-17 in age) & dogs. From what I have read online, it can be a hit or miss depending on if it is mid week or weekend with folks enjoying music late into night, gun shots, parties etc. I personally don't mind that but with kids don't want to take a chance.
Wanted to get your take; good idea or not?

If tent camping isn't ideal I'd like to rent a camper that can accommodate two kids , two adults and a Lab. Any suggestions on rentals?

Mattole Beach is pretty awesome. You can take a long walk down to the Punta Gorda Lighthouse, or check out the crazy driftwood garden that forms down by where the Mattole River spills into the ocean. It's a pretty killer place. I've camped there numerous times, and have never heard noisy drunken campers (other than myself, of course) or gunshots.

Usal is great, but getting a camper down that dirt road would be super sketchy. We set up a tent under a tree. In the middle of the night, the few from the trees started falling on our tents making us think that it started raining. We almost hurriedly packed up and left because the thought of trying to get out on a muddy version of that access road was super sketch.

Specific to the campgrounds, yes, during the weekends, people love playing music and setting off fireworks late at night. But, the farther away from the beach you set up camp the quieter it will be.
