What I remember: Ianonne crashes and sends his bike sliding down the track, like 4 bike lengths and takes out Dovi, straight up torpedoed. Both on factory Ducati. All I'm finding is when he tucked the front and took out Dovi in Argentina.

I'm now starting to think, maybe I have the players wrong or did it even happen?

Anyone remember this?

I dont think that exact thing happened. there arent many races where both Dovi and Iannone DNFd on Ducs, only 5. Argentina is the only one where they crashed on the same lap.

are you thinking of Dani punting Dovi in COTA 2016?

Iannone took out Lorenzo in the manner you described in 2016. Iannone was riding for Ducati and Lorenzo was in his final season with Yamaha. I think it was Catalunya when they changed the chicane after Salom's fatal accident.

Lorenzo was struggling with the new Michelin front and he was dropping back through the field. Iannone initiated the pass from way too far back and it was never going to work no matter what line Lorenzo took.

Yeah, it was Dani punting Dovi, my mistake and thanks. And confirmed, memory is failing.
