Darkness!
Where's the kick starter?
EDIT: This bike and I were involved in a collision last night so it's off the market. Thanks for looking folks and stay safe out there. Look twice before you leap from the stoplight y'all. Mods, do you need to do anything? Close the thread or something? Let it fall slowly and inevitably into the dark depths of obscurity?
What's your Best Offer? Price Drop - $3000 1% to BARF - Help get my furry best friend back on all four legs folks. It look he's in need of an operation. Cheers.
2005 Honda Superhawk (VTR1000F) Current mileage - 22,228 pretty darn low for it's age.
In great shape with the usual thrills and spills of a daily driver.
Title is clean, in my name, and in my hand.
Asking $3000 for BARFers (1% to BARF)
Up for adoption is a 996cc V-Twin Superbike. It's been ridden and used as a daily commuter so it has the normal stuff that goes with that. It has been VERY well maintained. I'm a mechanic and I take care of my vehicles. It just had a tune up about 200 miles ago.
Pro's:
Helibars (raises the clip ons an inch up and I believe and inch back, WAY more comfy for commuting)
Steel braided lines on front brakes
Staintune pipes w/inserts (they are removable, plenty loud, as is)
PSR Levers (adjustable, aftermarket levers)
Puig Double Bubble screen
Recent brake fluid flush front and rear (pads at 50-60% you've got time)
Newer Pirelli Angel GT's
Custom Sargent seat (WAY more comfortable for longer rides) - Stock seat and stock pipes with full asking price
Aftermarket R6 MOSFET regulator/rectifier conversion (the stock reg/rec's are a known problem) - MUCH better and stronger charging system
Cons:
Right side front turn signal is aftermarket LED - because the bike was knocked over and it needed replacing. It is a lot brighter than the stock left side turn signal
Left side exhaust has a scrape from what looks to be low speed low-side - I bought the exhaust this way. Never bothered me as it doesn't affect performance and it isn't obvious when on the kickstand
Comfortable and sporty. The last year these were made. Unique titanium color. I am a former motorcycle mechanic and I am what some might call anal about maintenance. All fluids (brake, coolant, and synthetic oil) have been changed and are only a few months old. You will not be disappointed with this one. Only selling because I bought a friends sport touring bike with locking hard luggage. I mostly commute nowadays. Leave a number and a name if you want me to get back to you.
As is always the case, test rides are ONLY with full asking price in my hand. You break it you bought it. Thanks for looking!
