Wut, bodda you?
Freeing up some space and offering up some great deals. Pro audio sound equipment up for grabs to teh BARFs @ BARF pricing. Items will be listed on CL as well.
2 - Mackie SWA 1801 powered subwoofers. The real deal; these are workhorses and first gen series meaning NO cheap parts used. 18" RCF drivers, circuitry and amp guts. These will run all night long without thermal hiccups unlike their successors, the 1801Z's which have had numerous complaints and issues due to inferior materials.
These have seen some mobile use and usually in a pair to ensure TONS of headroom. I have never seen these clip or thermally shutdown. Asking $Old for the pair or $OLDeach. Give me some lead time to get them out of storage and set up for demo. I like my neighbors and they like me so the demo will be during reasonable hours to prevent noise complaints. NO EXCEPTIONS
These are industrial subwoofers used in concert, live and "club" applications. A pair will easily accommodate a 500+ venue and 300+ outside. A single unit has a measured SPL of 135db. There are smaller and lighter units now available but at considerably more coin with negligible benefits and performance. They are musical and fast enough to pair with 8" tops/monitors with proper placement. Have high-pass and thru-pass XLR output for internally crossing over and daisy chaining additional subs/speakers.
There are also current "clones" of these subs made by American Audio, Rockville and others; there something to be said about imitation being the greatest form of flattery.
Pair of JBL EON 15p1 powered 15" full-range speakers. In 9/10 condition; some very "slight" rubs and easily mistaken for brand new. There is something to be said about Class A/B amplification over more current Class D or digital amps. These are rated at a modest 185 watts (biamplified 130 for the lows and 50 for the highs) yet they will rock at over 120db's all night long without breaking a sweat. They more natural and musical than similarly sized 15" cabinets and rarely need EQing for most genres of music.
Light and simple to set up, yet musically pleasing for most >250 venues not requiring chest kicking bass. Good portrayal of live band acoustics with a good rolloff around 45hz.
Based on their condition, I'm pricing these at $OLD - a steal in my book.
Please PM or reply here for more info. I will post pics as soon as I am able.
I will meet within reason for the JBL's but will require a deposit to meet anywhere other than at my home for the subwoofers. I will have more available at a later time; these were used by professional musicians and performers and not trash.
Thanks for looking and any sales will have $ for teh BARFs as always :teeth
