Anyone here know how the membership at this kart track work? What's the CC limit for bikes there? 400cc and below? can't find any info other than where the track is located and I tried calling Allen. thanks.

Whatever that means
Show up for next track day and talk to allen settle.
Usually its 450 and below but exception have been made for certain bikes.
The membership is really sweet if you have some weekdays off. you pretty much have a track to yourself. i miss it dearly.

You can find him on facebook, he's on there fairly often and updates the community page there

Thanks R3DS!X,
Weekdays would work perfectly for me which is why I would probably look into that membership, specially since it looks that the track is open from pretty much all day.

I'll give that a try!

Sadly this is one of the major reasons why I haven’t pursued Stockton - the only way to get information/follow anything seems to be facebook and I don’t have a facebook account. Maybe this is a negative on me, but man I would love there to be an alternative.

I rode my Tiger 800 around that track, but that was during a special event (in-service training for moto instructors).

Thanks. Tried calling but no luck.

Trying to know the basics:

Membership yearly cost
Daily cost and schedule?
Is the place always open for members and all you gotta do is show up?

A lot of General Info of our local mini-moto tracks can be found in the BARF Mini forum (see stickies) ;) Allen has been under the weather recently. But, he's pretty good at getting back to people who contact him. True, He's more on FB than on BARF ..... He relies on me to help him out on the BARF stuff - providing feedback, track and or race info and details.

With COVID these days, having "Open Track Days" has been difficult to schedule, and post. Sometimes it's within a week or two weeks time notification.
Open Track Day cost for non-members is $40. $30 for members (only scheduled / calendar track days).

Getting a membership these days are ideal..... best bang for you buck for track time....... any day access. Except when there are private events held at the grounds. However, being late in the season, not sure he's accepting any new memberships. Best to call him and make arrangements.

Aside from Stockton, Dixon (near Fairfield) has also been offering their track to Open Moto (and Kart) Track Days. They too post their events on their FB group page (Kinsman Kart Club). Allen sometimes shares their track events on his group page as well (West Coast Mini Grand Prix). Cost for Dixon is $40 per rider.

Otherwise, there is always Sonoma. Their schedule for moto's is typically Mondays, Thursdays, and some (rare) weekend track days. Best to check their calendar. Cost is $60 per rider or $40 for half day

Max cc Sprot bile is 400cc (KTM, R3, Ninja's and alike). Not exactly sure about Sumo's, tho'

Appreciate all the insights... I must confess that I had never clicked on the MINI Moto thread as I just assumed that it meant 50cc and mini road bikes but I guess it's good to learn something new.

Great to know that a membership allows you any day access to the track so I'll reach out to Allen to see what's possible or if I have to wait until 2021.

Thanks!

lol .... I hear ya. Basically the "MINI" forum is any moto that falls within the small displacements (under 250cc) ;)

In fact, there are some mini's that get a motor overhaul of more than 400cc's :laughing

Any regard. Allen had posted an Open Track Day at Stockton recently, but was cancelled due to poor air quality and extreme heat warning. He's rescheduling it for Sunday Oct 11, tentatively ;) Stay tuned for a confirmation.

What is the option for those that want to track it (not race) on weekends at Stockton? Wait for the scheduled open track days? Does a membership make sense in this case?

Sorry, I also have no FB...

Thanks for sharing the Stockton schedule (also noted in the General Info sticky).

Due to COVID, the Moto and Kart Race season is pretty much non-existent, sadly. Therefore, the days that are marked as a race may be substituted as an Open Track Day - I can confirm with Allen, of coarse.

As for Dixon (Kinsman Kart Club), their schedule mostly caters to karts. But, they do post Moto and Kart scheduling as well

Kinsman Kart Club Calendar

As for the Membership comment - it really depends how much track time you want, and are restricted to only certain dates. If it's only once in a while, then may not make sense to buy into it. Otherwise, it is beneficial, and at your leisure to ride ;)

Just confirmed with Allen ..... Stockton Open Moto Track Day this Sunday, Oct 11th :ride

Gates open at 9a (typically)
Cost: $40 per rider (non-members), $30 (members)

Also, Allen has some bikes for rental. Ed Enriquez has Ohvales for rental as well: 125cc, 150cc, and 190cc (contact Allen for these details)

Any Q's contact Allen
209-598-3124

First time attending, see General Track Info (Sticky), or click the link at the bottom of the page ;)

Going forward, for those interested having some Mini-Moto fun on a kart track, go to the Mini Forum ;) The kart track really is a great place to train for the Big track, and or hone your street skills and most importantly, riding confidence. Moreover, as skill develops, it helps to open you eyes to riding fundamentals (and styles) and understanding bike feedback.

DANG IT!

Headed to Thunderhill on Monday, no chance in hell that I can wiggle 2 trackdays out of the wife on the same weekend during COVID. I'll have to miss this one but thanks for checking.

I'll be on the lookout for the next open trackday and see if I get a chance of renting out an Ohvale, always been curious about those.
