Bad experiences, a couple times. I won't be back.

Edit: search for lindemann for more info. It's spelled with two "n"s.

Great guy, great work. He did 4 of my bikes over the years. Not the quickest turnaround during the racing season, as he get's quite busy.

He did a first rate job on my TL1000S 8 years ago; new valving and springs for the fork and new spring for the rear (I subsequently added an Ohlins shock to replace the awful rotary damper he said couldn't be made to work...he was right).

Not very communicative but his work was outstanding.

That bike now has the compliant yet controlled feel that we all search for, before that it was an abomination.

I went to have my recently acquired GSXR forks rebuilt by Lindemann's last winter, and I was really pleased with the service. They answered the phone promptly both times that I called, and even though I was told it might take a week to get them done since they were busy, the forks were done the next day. They also told me they might have to replace some parts in the forks, and in that case I would be charged. I said OK, but after the rebuild, they said the parts in the forks were fine and didn't need to be replaced. They could have taken advantage of me and replaced them anyway, but they didn't, so I feel like I can trust them. The only negative I can think of is they didn't ask me before they went ahead and slapped huge black and white LE stickers on my forks. As it turns out, though, I am perfectly happy rocking the LE stickers. I will be doing business with them in the future.

Jim Lindemann does great work. I took my ohlins forks from my Mille R to him and now, they're like a magic carpet ride. Supple yet communicative and my bike handles like a wet dream....well, at least the front does. Now, I have to pull the rear and take that to him for a rebuild. OH, BTW, I had him do a rebuild, re-spring and re-valve. I'd recommend him without hesitation.....sean

POOP!!!
Trying to contact them about previous work is a bitch... Actually to get any response at all about previous work is a hassle.

If when you call that you may even suggest that they may have made any mistake....

Even If they have...

GOOD FUCKING LUCK!!!!

My last experience involved a shock that took 8 weeks instead of two,the price they promised originally and the bill was 2x as much...

Then that shock promptly failed due to failure to relpace the seals that should have been replaced if it was properly rebuilt... Wait 8 weeks, fails in the first mile...Cost 2x... Call them about it, it's my problem......

We had it properly rebuilt by someone else afterwards... Had to suck up the loss...

After that I haven't sent anything down to them and am much happier....

I'll be happy to answer any questions about this directly with Jim Lindemann...

Unfortuneatly when this situation first came up they were too busy to deal with any complaints.....

But your experience may be different...

Lindemanns went through a bad period when Jim was sick and there were quite a few reports of subpar work coming out of there as well as other problems. AFAIK Jim is back at full strength for some time now and it's back to good again. I must plug my personal fave though,Rob at Evolution suspension!

That's COLD, Brrrr
Jim does come to some trackdays, same as Phil and Dave, mainly K@TT. When he adjusted my sag, he had me support the bike on the sidestand, kinda interesting. He used to do suspension work for many fast guys.
