Lindemann Engineering ( GPR )

I droped off the front forks at Lindemann Engineering today. I took the Derbi Workshop Manual to let the shop take a look at the parts of the front fork. The shop has never done work on a Derbi before. He told me in the first min after touching the front fork that the pre load was to stiff. He told me that he does not even make a 600cc that hard. He did not give me a price because he has never worked on a GPR before. He will take 7-14 days before the work is done. He is going to give me a call after he gets the front frok open and can give me some info on the price vs the gain in performance. I will give info as I get it...:teeth

Todd,

I was wondering why you chose LE instead of having Calamari work on your forks. Was it cost?

BTW. Saw your post on Derbi-Club re. the shock. Let me know if you wanna try my Doppler. It's already off my bike.

Also, check out Risse Racing out of Redding, CA if you haven't already. They sell an 'air' shock and fuly adjustable coil-over for the GPR.

SVSick50, did you ever try that air shock from BoNewCo?

I am having LE take a look into the work on the front forks I talked to Calamari today.
Just from talking to people the doppler is not the way to go. Are you going to keep the shock , you got it from MM right. thanks for the offer.

I have talked to risse about R5 shock

I got the call today that my front forks are done. I am going to pick them up on Friday. The price was not that bad only $ 190.00 for all the work and parts. I will try and get a list of what was done to the forks. I just put on the Bitubo rear shock on the GPR and all I can say is :teeth from the stock one. I am going to give the Derbi a new paint job next.

$190? That's super cheap. I might do the same! NOw you have to put an LE sticker on there if you want to be cool.

$190 doesn't sound bad. Does that mean you have extra $$$ for the Nov. 20 ZoomZoom trackday? :teeth

todd where did you get your gpr race fairings and how much?

http://www.motobody.com/index.html

You will not find the Derbi body work on the web page you must call and ask . The body work is around $600 + for the set. did you cut off parts from the frame area ( back tail section ) you will need them to hold the rear tail section. The two things that look like handles must be left on to hold up the tail.

I have LE stickers on my bike. If I could just learn how to ride it I'd be really neato. Of course I have to actually show up at the track to do that :laughing

I've never ridden a stock 94 rs125 so I can't really tell you if it's that much better but the ppl who saw me ride it the few times I did said it looked really hooked up. If felt one million times better than a ysr so who knows. The front still has a little chatter off the straight but I'm sure sine the suspension is actually tuneable, I can get rid of that with a little help from a pro.
