Let's Talk About Nice Asses.

Taze away, Yana...
I don't know about you, but I like keeping my butt looking nice and bruise free. You know, for the ladies! The last 5 years I have been using the same Troy Lee under armor on the dirt as well as the track. Well it's to the point where the elastic waistband has lost its stretch. I would just buy the same set again, but I was never super impressed with the padding. I wasn't so concerned with them on the dirt, but for the high speed stuff I always kind of knew they were a false sense of protection.

I have been looking at protective underwear on Revzilla and the options are vast. I kind of like the super padding of the Dainese Hard Shorts E1 they look like they may be a bit too bulky though.

Anyway, what are you kids using, what do you like?

Admin, please move this thread to the Photo section, since it is clearly without value if no pictures are presented.

I ride in bare-assed chaps because I crave danger and excitement.

Sorry, no photo available.

I have the Klim padded shorts for dirt. Tried them a few times on the street but not they don’t fit under my current pants so they’re just stored away until who knows when.

I have those dainese shorts. They seem well made. They are a little bulky though. The tail bone protector looks like the most valuable part; not that the rest is useless.

Love my Johnson Leather N-200 jacket! Alan is awesome.

When did they start selling those long underwear with armor? Those are great.

Also a big fan of Johnson's, a San Francisco treasure if there ever was one. My uncle Lyle was an Oakland Motorcop, who wore his service jacket (made at Johnson's) even after his retirement. in 1983 When he died, all the riders in our family fought over the jacket. My cousin Mike still has it hanging in there family room.

I noticed Forcefield armor at Johnsons a couple years ago. Everything I've read and seen shows it to be good stuff, but I have armor built into the gear I use so no need for the underwear armor. The Forcefield stuff is way more better than that Dainese hard armor crap if you are talking street. For dirt the Dainese stuff shown above is fine.

For dirt I use these:

Man, I got them... five years ago or so? They've had them a while. But they don't have everything in stock out on the floor, so you have to ask.

Johnson's is great. They'll fit Tpro into existing armor pouches.

So I used to have those D1 hard shorts - I crashed pretty hard in them a couple years ago during which I sat down very hard on my butt. It didn't save my back (broke a couple vertebra) nor my sacrum (which broke clean off) by absorbing any force through the back plastic piece. I don't put much stock in them anymore, obviously :rolleyes

I wear the forcefield ones now which are much more substantial. I wear them under my suit and don't realize they are there at all when I'm on the racetrack.

plus they are on closeout right now from revzilla.

Also Johnson leather stocks the forcefield gear as was previously mentioned in the thread. You can head over there and see what you'd prefer. I think ridersdiscount or elsewhere still has them in stock. I think they have more coverage than the action ones which is why I chose those, but the D1 shorts are basically useless on the street.
