Kinda feel like when you have a guy running from the cops because he just murdered somebody and he's shooting at the cops and then runs into a business with gun, you have to try, especially when the building was the backdrop. It's just a bummer they let a few fly when the glass was the backdrop.

I dunno, they were taking fire from the guy in the doorway but the backdrop was definitely not clear.

If they knew there were shots fired already they probably shouldn't have rushed the front door. Maybe take positions outside his field of view, bring out the AR-15s and wait for SWAT?

I got some beef from the boys in blue with the last one, but this also does not look like a good shoot to me. Even more so than the last guy. The Officer appears to have gone full Time Crisis to me. I am not a LEO, but all the training I have ever gotten in CQB is always drilling me to be aware of over penetration and be aware of what is behind your target.

probably should arm Trader Joe's managers so this type of thing can be prevented.

can't, it is California. she should accept that she is going to be a victim/is a victim and come to terms with it. when will people realize that the state will always keep us safe!

have not looked at video, but this is a tough one for me. He is violent, and shooting and now running into a crowed store!? If blue does not try to take him out now, the probability that the situation gets a lot worse is very very high.

police dash and body cam footage released.

I can armchair QB and say the cops were slow in thinking and acting....

Yeah, sorry, but from the footage I've seen that was not the right call. Yes, the guy allegedly killed someone else already, so the officers really had two options; either follow the guy in the store in hot pursuit, which is extremely extremely dangerous, or, surround the store and now you have a hostage situation. Shooting from 100+ feet away, with a handgun no less, directly at a store during business hours? Not a good call.

If he would have went in and mowed down everyone in the store folks would have been pissed that police didn't act sooner.
Fucked up deal. Maybe if we implanted explosive devices in all criminals that could be detonated by police that would solve the problem?

Since the only detail I know is that LAPD was the one who shot the victim, I like to know the distance of the shot, and was the criminal shooting at the time.
