K@TT Keigwins track dayz - $420 (san carlos)

I rode with Keigwins many times...fun group of people...some of the "fast" instructors were quite cool... This kinda caught me off guard..they were burning during lunch at the track then went on track to help people out including me. I went faster tho...wonder how much faster I would be if I were stoned too? Just a thought...

Although I am not exactly impressed by them anymore...to allow instructors to get high while on the job...on the job being the important thing even if your job is fun you should still smoke dope on your own time not someone elses dime. Not to mention the potential dangers of being high while riding in an environment like that...perhaps I am just off base..maybe smoking dope makes you more in tune with your motorcycle and how it feels under you...but I doubt that. If I ever ride with KTT again I need to ask the top cheese why he allows that to happen...hell for all I know he encourages it..who knows maybe I found my next connection...if I buy an ounce do I get a free track day?

I am not buying this bullshit add for a moment. Lance runs a very respectable business, and I can assure you Lance does not know of any such behavior. If he did, those instructors would be gone.

As one of the instructors, I don't know anyone who does this, and do know they would be fired the same day they were caught. Period. No exceptions. Lance is not drug friendly and does not allow it, period.

I can also guarantee you that if ANYONE shows up smoking during a Keigwin trackday, you are gone. Period. Zero tolerance.

This would be my expectation.

A tight run group of pros in my experience.

I like a little pot now and again, and again,
but there is a time and a place for everything.

Well come on, if there was any truth to it why wouldn't he have gone to the "top cheese" before he posted it on CL? In fact, why wouldn't you go to him right then? What's he afraid of, they're going to kick him out of the trackday? He says he doesn't want to ride with them again anyway, so who cares. Maybe he thought a reputable public forum such as CL would make his claim seem more legitimate :rolleyes

This is BS. I've ridden with Keigwin's many times and never seen this occur. Glad to see it removed. Hopefully mods will just remove this thread as well.

I have only ridden with KTT once, but I do know a couple of the instructors and there is NO WAY that this would ever happen. The KTT folks and all track day provider staff take safety very seriously. Looks to me to be sour grapes BS.
