cold track in the AM, barely warm in the afternoon...
amazing track to ride yesterday, hadn't ridden out there in some years!
glad I didn't get collected by some faster bikes!
I was a bit slow out there...

I heard track temp got to 100F in the afternoon. nothing wrong with that. u just can't put around and let that brisk air cool off your tires.

Someone with full white leathers went down hard a few feet right in front of me on turn 5 by the sound booth on first lap, I never felt so bad riding past a downed rider and not stopping to help (yes I know I should never stop and never will)... hope he/she is OK!

It did look like a crash fest out there yesterday...

slow as shit. No really
It didnt feel slick to me. It wasnt hot but I didnt feel there was a lack of grip. My get off was induced by a shitty asshole pass but the surface didnt feel very slick when I was sliding on it:rofl
Just maybe one of those weird days
Enjoy the rest of the season gang:thumbup

I rode on the 4th and went down in turn 5. I'm new to track riding, but it seemed like I ran over something - the front end just tucked near the curbing at the apex without any input from the controls. Same thing happened to another rider in the same spot.

I was there on July 1, and yea it was a crash fest. I was in B, and I’m not fast...but it seemed to me that there were a lot of excited riders forgetting (or not knowing) that the track was cool and the cool breeze cools your tires.

I had warmers on throughout the day and couldn’t feel heat in my rims like I would normally at THill or Sonoma. Everyone that went down seemed ok though...ie no life flights while I was there anyway.

Were you coasting or on the brakes heading to the apex? You mention no input from the controls which makes me think the tire wasn't loaded. It's an exit corner, but because of the sound booth it could be easy to get caught off if you're trying to navigate passing sound and getting setup to short shift up the hill.

Wasn't on the brakes. Was just about to start feeding throttle - no one around me, so I was holding my line like normal.
