Only thing that matters is torque. Anyone have that number?
The bikebandit article said "31 foot-pounds of torque". Since it's more like a trials bike than a motocross bike, that should be plenty for trail riding and slow going. You have full power available from zero mph, so it ought to be really good at riding in rough stuff.

It weighs somewhere in the 240-250 pound range, so same as a larger displacement motocross bike. It looks like a lot of fun, but I need more range than it offers. It's supposed to be good for about an hour and a half of fun riding.

31 lbs-ft is 50% more than a 250 and 10% less than a 450.

I bet it'll feel comparable to the 450 for a lot of riders.

I am really curious how it will feel, compared to an Alta.
I believe that in the future there will be many, smaller places, where you can only ride dirt on electric bikes.

^ I don't doubt that. The complaints of land owners about 'noisy' OHV could be a thing of the past.. Access could greatly improve.

Unfortunately, 1 to 1.5 hours of operation really just isn't enough. What does that mean? At what speeds? What sort of mileage in rough terrain are we talking?

50 mile range? That's a few hours of riding in some rough stuff here in NC. Something like that, and I'd be satisfied.

Looks like it'll be a few more years till they catch up to Alta

KTM should just buy Alta

I wonder how much the swappable battery packs are going to be.

itd be cool if OHV places had 240V outlets that u could pay a few bucks for while having lunch. unfortunately 240V generators arent cheap and seem to be those huge loud ones.

I called Motorcafe yesterday about this. They said the powerpack is $4k. :wow

Hello all,

Ace Motorsports is a BARF sponsor in Concord. We are the local ERide dealer. Yes the replacement battery will run $3,799.
I do not have any new ones in stock right now. I do however have a few that we will be bringing to the KTM demo event on 1-27 at Hollister. PM me, call the store(Matthew)at 925-969-7818, or stop by the store, to arrange a ride.

Curious if there's a market for these. Seems most dirt riders now days drive to somewhere to ride. 50 minutes of battery life then drive home and charge wouldn't cut it for me.
