No, I could go to San Rafael. Hope he works Saturdays! I am just looking for somebody who will be practical like you guys are, to the situation.

PS. Mine doesn't even leak oil. Just coolant because of a $5 drain plug which I keep wantin to get around to. But its behind oiling my bike chain so......

See, you guys are giving me support in my domestic situation!

Michelin Defender LTX MS2

Or the original LTX MS2 are more comfortable but less truck oriented. I have two of these on the front and two defenders on the rear. Happy with the ride quality and lack of noise. Wearing well so far.

Keep in mind the quality Michelin’s will weather check well before they wear out. I’m having a similar debate on my T100, not wanting to spend the $200 + for premium since I’ve also got a car now. I saw the size for $100 at Wally’s but still got a few miles to Lincoln’s ears.

Brandon's did 4 Cooper Discoveries on my Tundra for $650 mounted and balanced.

Buy four online from Amazon, and pay sixty bucks to the nearest tire store to mount them. Total cost, $400 including mounting.

Eschew Obfuscation
If snow/rain were a super high priority, then it's clear choice for me with the Bridgestone Blizzaks. They're really soft though, you can flip through the grooves like a stack of cards, so not a great summer commuter tire. Perfectly fine for the occasional use truck though.

I dunno about that. Blizzaks are magical in snow/ice and the absolute suck on dry pavement. I've never heard of anyone driving on them year-round.

Well now you have! :p

We have them on an old Expy and it's the occasional use vehicle in the spring/summer/fall. I've driven a few times in the peak summer from east of Colfax to Davis/Woodland and back, local grocery runs and whatnot. They're holding up well. You'd be throwing money away as a daily though, plus heaven help you if thought you could rail anything in the summer with them. Totally fine for the occasional use in the offseason.

Nice! That’s where I ended up going. I am a customer or the old ownership but those guys sold a few years back and it’s a somewhat different type of business, doing more repairs than just tires. They got rid of computer alignment machine for tire racks, which surprised me. Best part was they loved my truck and didn’t want me to get rid of it unless I sold it to the guy who has one like it!

He didn’t have anything used in my size tho (235 R75 15). Got 4 new Patagonias for 575 out the door. I tried the place in San Rafael, closed. Wanted to try JO in Richmond. Closed. Called Costco today to verify if they would put tires on non-standard rims, 30 minute telephone hold and I ain’t got time for that bc of my bronchitis. Big O didn’t have anything in my size at least on website.

AFM had best advice but I needed to just get this done because of my full time job. But for the price, I ended up getting a good deal even if its overkill. I considered Orozco too but I wasn’t sure I was going to have much selection.

Thanks to all. BARF always delivers. I felt like I had better info to make this decision.

For a truck like that, I probably would have checked FB Marketplace. Probably could have found a set of wheels and tires for under $200 total.

I have a 1990 Toyota Pickup and it’s what I’ll do when the time comes.

Lol, I’m doing this with my 2011 Tacoma next month. So many OEM wheels w new tires on FB for less than the cost of good new tires. It’s probably somewhat a Toyota thing. They haven’t changed the bolt pattern in a while.

Americas Tire. They have some smokin' deals. Just don't let them try to sell you a bunch of 'add-ons'; ie, flat repair warranty, etc..

Thanks. We're not all crotchety old guys with lots of time on our hands. If I was still working, I would have done the same thing. Orozco will always get you what you want, but you pay a small premium for that.

My truck currently has Mazda truck wheels, so there’s another option for you if you can’t find OEM Toyota wheels.
