Klim K2 Jeans vs Revit Philly 2 Jeans

TLDR
Klim jeans are better

Longer break down
So i went down a few weeks back and tore up my klim k2 jeans. They held up relatively well but there were a couple aspects of the jeans that I didn't like so not only did i replace the "used" jeans with another identicle set, but I also purchased some 'revit philly 2' jeans to compare.

Both jeans fit similar, with the klims being about an inch or so longer for the same "size" jeans. The k2s were a size 34 short(inseam supposed to be 32 according to klim), and the philly 2s were a size 34x32.

So some things about the k2
Pros:
Comes with CE1 rated armor in the hips and knees, and there is a foam insert for your tail bone (not CE rated).
Lined kevlar in impact zones, no visible stiching from the outside of the jean
Netting inside so your legs don't stick to the jeans on hot days
Jean material is very thick, doesn't feel cheap.

Cons:
Price, these are expensive
Knee armor just never sits right, even though it is adjustable it always seems to want to slide to the inside of your knee instead of staying on top of your knee. I actually removed them entirely from the jean because of how poorly they fit and how bulky they are. Planning on replacing with the knee armor from the 'revit' type jeans. They won't fit much better but they're way way skinnier. More on that later in the philly pro/con section. Obviously an additional cost if you go this route.
Tail bone armor is just regular foam. I landed right in this area when i went down and it's pretty much been the only part of my body that still remains a bit sore. On this set of jeans I wound up cutting up one of my old jeans knee pads to shove in there. Not quite as comfortable to sit on but the impact protection should be much improved. Obviously this is an additional cost if you don't have some old armor to cut up.
They're heavy. They don't look it, but they feel it. It's not a jean i'd want to spend all day in, but they're fine for leisure riding and meet ups.

Philly 2
Pros:
Stylish, even more so than the K2s imo
CE1 armor in the knees
Light weight, feel just like a normal pair of jeans
Kevlar in the impact zones
Cost, they're still relatively expensive but they are cheaper than the klims
Cons:
No hip armor, there are insert pockets for armor but it needs to be purchased separately.
The armor that revit sells and markets as CE rated for their jeans is extremely thin and I seriously question the actual impact resistence were one to go down in them. I don't know what all is involved in getting armor CE rated, but comparing the revit armor with the klim armor is pretty wild as far as thickness and design.
There's on armor or pocket for armor for your hip bone.
They're thin, I didn't measure the actual difference in thickness between these and the klims but the philly 2s feel like they're half as thick.
The knee armor, which i needed to purchase separately, also didn't fit on my knee right when in the riding position. Maybe it's just my legs.
The kevlar stiching is visible under the buttocks from the outside of the jeans.

In closing, i kept the klims and returned the philly 2s. If i commuted on a bike and had to wear the jeans all day i probably would have gone with the philly 2s. If i have riding jeans on though i'm riding 90 percent of the time so the off bike usage is low for me. After purchasing hip armor for the philly 2s the costs are similar. If someone does purchase the revit jeans and wants to buy hip armor to go along i'd purchase the klim hip armor as it does in fact fit in the revit pockets all the way (last picture), feels much more impact resistant, and is honestly not at all more noticeable than the thin stuff revit sells.

Hope this helps somebody out.

Also consider the Resurgence jeans. I love mine and don't share your CON's, however they do not have tailbone armor. What is most outstanding is that they are the only jeans that are CE level 2. Abrasion resistance rivals leather! VERY comfy and light.

If anyone can fit a 32 waist there is a guy on here with a like new pair of chinos for a crazy $50!
