Just me riding the 250R

MSR Houston is my home track and this last weekend the weather was perfect for riding the 250R. Missing my mini friends to play with since Myla was the only other rider riding mini on LV2 this day. I had fun on this session since this was the only one that we ran the entire session without an incident. Even with traffic I was able to run 2 minutes lap :ride

I've never done a track day before, and I'm also from Houston =)

I want a 250 or 300 sport bike so badly. I already have a big ADV bike, and I think my friends think I'm kind of nuts for wanting a small bike over a 600 supersport.

I've had 3 sv650s...and they were fun, but i'd prefer to do track time on a teeny bike for the first time.

It just looks SO MUCH MORE FUN on a 250. That whole video made me grin ear to ear!

I did stockton 99 on a 250 ~5 years ago and it was awesome. I get bored with tracks very quickly so leaving after a few hours didn't seem like a waste to me since mini tracks are so cheap.

hitting the same ~12 turns in less than a few miles redundantly sucks ass. especially if you have to pay upwords of $200 to do it. to each their own tho.

I would say it depends on the tracks you're thinking about frequenting. But yeah, the fun factor of a 250 (based on riders' reports) seems to be off the charts.

It's the most fun I ever had riding track! As matter fact after an year watching my 600 getting dust I took it to TWS a month ago to dust it off and I had fun... but not as much as I did on my 250 :) It's just something about making a slow bike go fast I guess :teeth
Here is the Video of me riding the 250 at TWS a couple of weekends ago.
