I rode my dualsport bike in this rea in the early 80s. It is rough terrain in that it is all loose sand and gravel and hard to grip

One time for the Forest Service, I took a turn at the wheel of the truck to try to maneuver it over some large rocks to get a delivery of supplies up to a fire lookout tower. It was really hard, and I didn't do it well. Had to turn over the wheel to someone else to go the rest of the way. Not being able to see, having the nose of the truck pointing up at the sky, and sliding around... I have a respect for anyone that does that kind of driving for fun! It's not for me!

Pin it to win it!

Tighten belts, turn wheels hard right and blip throttle... get ready to get on the brakes fast and ride it out.

If you're gonna offroad (2 or 4 wheel), you have to be prepared for the worst and ride it out sometimes. I know growing up desert moto riding I got myself in some REALLY bad positions. After calming the F down and thinking more clearly I was able to see a line or way out even if it was hairball.

When I was learning to ride dirt, the trick was to lead your buddies around until they get stuck somehow.

This looks self inflicted.

But, this is an example of,

"getting stuck in an easy spot"

Thank God the large orange arrow showed me where to look, although a red circle is my typical go-to.
