On a Ducati Monster last week and a cruiser yesterday evening.

Check your lights people, it's getting dark out there.

I've also noticed a few cars not turning their lights on either.

Some dumb ass on a white trash bike past me with no rear on 101. Amazing.

Kinda shake your bike too, seen a guy, prolly thought his lights were good when turning ignition on in the garage, but every bump on 580 (and you know how many of those there are) made his stupid shit cut in and out.

I stopped at a light and let someone know they didn't have their lights on :D Of course my good deed was met by almost hitting a bicyclist running a red light :thumbdown

I see people driving with only day-time running lights at night all the time. It's so stupid. I think they should be banned. People either need automatic full on headlights or do it manually. No visible tail lights at night is ridiculous.

Yep, saw a pontiac on campus the other. NEITHER brake light worked. That's just asking for some trouble.

The problem with that shit is that, especially with the modern vehicles, the dash lights up during the day without having to turn on the headlights. So the driver now thinks that their headlights are on just because their dash is lit up. It's confusing to the driver and an ignorant move on the manufacturer's part IMO.

It's actually a very common thing (sadly)... if I had a dollar for every time I told a driver they had one or both tail/brake lights out, I'd have some new tires by now :rofl

I was shocked when I first moved to California with the number of vehicles with burned out headlights and taillights. In Virginia you are required to have a safety inspection every six months. They check lights, brakes, horn, exhaust system (not for smog), steering, and suspension and the fuel system. We also didn't have the plethora of cars on fire on the side of the road that seems to be a regular feature of the morning commute. I pointed out to a guy on a Ducati last week that his taillight was burned out. He thanked me for letting him know.
