As hot in the Richmond hills as in Walnut damn Creek. I couldn't believe it comin home. 109 in Lafayette and Orinda. 108 at the SP Dam reservoir entrance which is usually a cool spot. 106 a mi casa.

Pretty sure it was over 100 here today. Smokey and windy too, no bueno. Had to shovel gravel and stack wood, but for some reason it didn't bother me too much. Usually I poop out quick when working outside in the heat.

Supposed to be a buck fourteen in Concord tomorrow. Antioch is always a few degrees hotter than Concord. I work in Concord & live in Antioch.

I couldn't see the East Bay Hills riding from MtView to Fremont on 237 until I got to N 1st. When I got home it felt like I'd just smoke a half a pack of cigs. The final kicker...wife looks at my face and asks what's all over it. She could see the layer of grit I'd collected while my face shield was up.

get it while it's easy
Having lived in Monterey, 95 is pretty much equivalent to 120* elsewhere. :laughing

85* and I wanted to die when there.

so true. worst heat ever was race at laguna a few years ago. don't recall the temps, but the ride from the track to the house we were staying at was 7 miles. thought i was gonna die before we got there. black leathers + intense heat = major suckage. once we arrived home, pulled off my gear, and the sweat poured out like a river of water. even worse was nothing dried overnight- and putting that nasty wet shit on the next morning. and there is no escape - NOTHING there is air conditioned - very rare when they need it. totally fucking miserable experience.

Quit being bitches. It was 97° at 11:30 PM the other night when I got home from work. It was 108° at 3 PM two days ago, with about 70% humidity down south.
