its been a while, few years at least, i finally got myself another bike. its got less plastics on it and about the same size motor, its got 4 cylinders as opposed to two and it sounds like an overpowered sewing machine.

i bought it as a lien sale from a tow yard in placerville last week and need to put it all together. sure cant wait to get it on the road. clean title, less than 1k miles and it had everything except the fairing and lights. no fork or frame damage. a few cosmetic needs.

i paid a whopping 2600.00 for it, 550.00 back fees to the dmv. bike is titled to me and has new plates.

its a 2003 z1000 kawasaki.

i still miss that fat tlr but sure had to sell it to get married!

;)

good to see you guys again. i hope to ride soon.

here is a preview of it, just sitting waiting for some parts.

You had to sell your TLR to get married? :confused

sure did, it had 64K miles, many track days and was time to let it go for some cash so that i could afford a wedding. that bike was the most reliable vehicle i ever had. rode it almost everyday for 3 years and piled all those miles commuting and riding all over. i hope the current owner is still enjoyng it. he's probably a barfer as well.

i will sure check out that link. i cant wait to get it out for a longer ride. i took the z out saturday for about 30 minutes and went up 84 to 280 north. i was able to open it up and enjoy the power for a little bit. the bike is also missing gauges which should arrive today or tomorrow. i have a acerbis style headlight on it now with custom brackets and some led's i wired into the shield just to get by for the time being. i need it up and running by next weekend as i have to do a ride with my friend to see his dad buried at Gustine.

thank you for the info, any little bit helps, a new bike is always an adventure. i would rather work on a bike than a car anyday.

ride safe!

Hello BUDMAN!!!

Thanks and I sure wish I could Sunday but I have my brother's wedding to get to in the city.

I sure cant wait to ride in the hills again. Its been way too long.

A couple years back I took my car over 84 by alice's and down to the beach and it just was not the same.

I needed a sanity check.

Thanks for the invite! Hope to do some riding soon once I get it together!

BTW, nice team you got runnin there! I shall have to go to the races to see em in action!

John
