Isle of Man TT cancelled for 2020

No TT this year. Some may remember the TT was also cancelled during the Mad Cow (foot and mouth) disease outbreak several years ago. Organizers will still try to put on the Classic TT and the Manx GP.

We have received this Statement from the Isle of Man Government

The Council of Ministers has taken the decision to cancel the 2020 Isle of Man TT Races which were due to take place between 30th May and 13th June.

The decision has been taken following confirmation the Island has stepped up its measures to protect the population against the pandemic.

Bummer, but not unexpected.

Not sure there is any virus on the island, but if not sure makes even more sense.

Well that will save 1 or 2 lives at the very minimum, no riders will die.

Makes sense with the multitudes of Europeans that attend. Believe it’s the island’s big income event, definitely sad.
