Title says it all. For those of you who have a slipper, did it benefit you a lot? Better lap times? Less crashing? Sexy backin-it-in?

I am "" this close to getting a Hinson setup for my Honda CRF450, but sheesh, its a lotta dough.

Any experience/advice appreciated.

PS, this is about the best I can do without a slipper (Red/black suit, in front)

you can do the same thing with your left hand (giggidy)

wait for a used one to pop up on fleabay or junkie, usually half the price or more

I've got the Hinson on my RMZ.
Love it.
As a beginner, I don't know how much this helps,
I can feather the clutch okay with the DRZ,
but with the RMZ, it's one less thing for my puny
newb brain to deal with-I can concentrate
on something else.

Drawback?
No push starts. Very easily anyway...

So far, very durable, "no cluch" shifts up or down
do not seem to bother it.

I can feel it grab in a corner, and it's somewhat
unusual, and there don't seem to be any issues
yet, but my "style/technique" is still in flux,
so I don't know what that tells you.
It's gotta be me...

Don't know about setup and maintenance, yet.
Just got the hub and plate kit, stock basket.

they make riding so much more fun because you can just hack it in anywhere and get all gangster. I would buy another one in a heart beat for my KTM. its going to help you get faster as well since all that chattering will be gone. looks like you are over due from that picture.

Whatever that means
I kinda like just dumping the clutch and having the rear go wheeee! Untill I want traction again I just gass and clutch feather to find again.

I learned to slide without one, and once I got one it just eliminated the need to play the clutch on entry. It's unnerving to ride a bike without one now. "What the hells' all that ruckus back there?? Oh, no slipper!!" My Berg has a OEM KTM clutch, which in German is called "ANTI-HOPPING CLUTCH".

For an experienced rider, it brings big grins. You feel like you just started cheating physics. It's like going to a bike that has adjustable suspension, you say to yourself " ...that really makes a difference!"

Squid.
Makes it really easy to go huge when you've got a slipper. 690 slipper makes backing it in super easy.
