I think they only had a 3 year contract to begin with, as when they signed they were already making arrangements with Schwantz Speedway in Austin.

im glad to see them go, though the article doesnt work for me.

the US needs to abandon all rovals for professional moto racing.

I was talking with a gent there today (off the record) and they've got a fire lit for some new promotional ideas this year. The riders don't really dislike the track. Stoner was obviously the most vocal but he bitched about everything. :laughing

Want to keep one of the GP's in the 'States?

Go. Plain and simple. Great town, seriously excellent facility and super nice employees to watch a race from and the most economical GP to see in the US. If you've never been, well, you don't really get a vote. It's awesome.

Or, sit on your butt at home having never been and watch a race go away. :thumbdown

Ironically enough... having watched the Austin race, I can't say that Indy is much worse. The Austin (Parade) GP was disappointing, to put it mildly.

also, its smart for them to announce that they wont be there next year. this way, the attendance will be wayyy better. more people are likely attend a going away race than just another year at indy.

Except I don't WANT that race. :laughing Laguna and Austin are better tracks, and a third USA GP is overkill. It would be better, as for a wants, to return to South America, India, and south east Asia.

Sucks. Indy is the only place I can reasonably ride to from the NorthEast.

If Dorna wants to sell out a race in the US, fund a freaking track in New Jersey.
