REMEMBER YOUR BIKER CREED...

My biker creed (there are many versions) is long but starts with this: "I ride because it is fun. I ride because of the freedom and being exposed to the elements. I ride because of the intrinsic vulnerability and danger of riding. When I ride I take my own life into my own hands!"

On the eve of our celebration "July 4th" of our independence which gave all of us our freedom/s through our country's many "governments", let us not forget those who are among us and continue the fight long after their service to-and-for us.

I recently visited my "favorite" uncle at a care facility. He is stricken with the Alzheimer genetic misfortune. He served in our Army and continued on with the Reserves, finally retiring at the rank of Colonel. If you saw him today, you would have no idea of who he was, what he has accomplished, and how much he is loved by his entire family.

SO, REMEMBER OUR VETS THAT WE SOMETIMES SEE ON THE STREET CORNER, AND REMEMBER, THAT SOME OF THEM SAW TOO MUCH AND THOSE DEMONIC IMAGES STILL ECHO IN THEIR CONSCIOUSNESS; AND THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE DONE GREAT DEEDS AND ARE STILL LOVED BY THEIR FAMILIES, BUT FOR THEM THE BATTLE HAS NOT YET ENDED.

So this song (heavy metal) sings out to their distress, and yes it is hard to listen to. The key lyric is, "I'm on the wrong side of heaven and the righteous side of hell".

Here is a pic that exemplifies learning from example rather than learning by being told what to do!
