I talked to the producer/VP of Community Affairs at ABC7 yesterday. She says "I haven’t received specific comments about yesterday’s episode. Viewer feedback often comes to the station through various platforms, and sometimes it takes a few days to funnel to me." I'll let you all know if I hear anything more.

I showed the newsclip to my brother night before last; he's about as conservative as they come, and he really dislikes tattoos (and never fails to give me a hard time about mine).

He didn't even notice them. Instead, he was taken by how well-spoken and reasonable the interview was, and how articulate and clear Surj was.

If his takeaway from the piece was "never thought about it before, but I guess it makes sense" is mirrored by even a fraction of car drivers, I'd call it a win all the way around!

Surj, any idea how long the PSA is slated to run?

Just heard back from Mark Pope on PSA airing. He says:

In the Bay area it will be seen mainly on Cable and Fox 2-Broadcast TV.

April 29-May 27
June 24 - July 7
July 22 -August 4
August 27 - September 2

Hah! It's really silly, actually. A guy I used to work with years ago said something like "Well, look at this monkeyneck!" and I chuckled at it. It was around the time I signed up for BARF and I just used it - I used to try to keep my online persona separate from my "real life" persona back then.
