Human Population=culling?

How to manage human population

So when the population of wild life gets to a certain population we cull that breed. when a herd of critters gets sick we cull that whole herd to keep the disease from spreading to the other livestock, and when a group can no longer feed/water their livestock instead of letting them suffer we cull them.

The human population has grown with not just people but industry homes buildings etc. now we are having water shortages, power blackouts from to many homes on the grid during high demand times.

Could it be time to start Culling the human population? Obviously starting with the career criminals.

Or even limit human reproduction?

Power blackouts aren't a result of overpopulation, they are a result of inadequate infrastructure expansion. It is cheaper to have the occasional blackout than it is to build a robust system. :nerd

Slippery slope. But, there are to many here for what we have to sustain this planet. Mother nature will handle it.

There are vastly too many humans, greed is too high, and expectations of what life should be are way out of whack


I'm not sure about culling as The USA is the most over populated country, by resource usage

Tricky subject. Why start with criminals? Start with overbreeders, lol.

China dealt with this for years. However, in the long run, population control is not going to fly. Disease and starvation will. It's an ugly picture and will get far worse.

Why bother, unchecked climate change will end up driving mass extinctions and food/water shortages eventually, and drug-resistant plagues will finish the job. But also, you're about a century or so late, the eugenics fad ran its course as a discredited ideology a long time ago. Unfortunately, not before it and its intellectual progeny ended very very badly, as a central tenet of the Nazi platform.

If we are going this road, California is pretty much the first to go. By far one of the most abusive, wasteful, and overpopulated states in the continental USA.

Exactly. Educating the women in 3rd world countries about birth control. India and Africa especially.

Population growth from birth is actually in decline in most first world countries.
There is a lot of things we can do before "culling" of humans should even be a passing thought

It's quite possible that we'd be just fine after that small group is impailed, set ablaze, then shot in the junk with a shotgun. Just add bankers and we've saved the world!
