Huge pothole on 101S in San Jose

I just posted this on the SBR site, I want to get this out there to all the motorcyclists who travel this area. Here is the link followed up by pictures.

It is south of the Oakland Rd. exit on 101 and about 1 mile or so before the 280N exit to downtown San Jose.

there are tons of hazzards all over 101S from palo alto down to your area. Is this a NEW pothole?

They also updated 101S a bit, they got rid of the death ridge between lane #1 and 2, but still dangerous.

No idea if it is a new pothole, I assume it is not an old one due to its size(and not being repaired). I do not travel that area much of San Jose, but its not your typical pothole that you see and avoid on a daily basis.

^^ lol, and now we have the death trough in between lane 1 and 2 instead. series of length-wise potholes right where the dotted whites used to be, those fuckers scare the crap out of me!!

Those damn troughs are dangerous as hell. First saw them at night spliting lanes through rush hour traffic. I get nervous everytime I see them. I try not to split anywhere near them. I sure hope they fix this soon before someone gets hurt.

There's one of these friggin' things between the carpool lane and the lane next to it on 101N right at Capitol Expressway in south SJ. Damn thing bent my front rim and made my rear suspension deflect so much that my back tire bent my license plate.

Thats nothing... Geary st. in SF between Divisadero and Van Ness has cracks 5" wide and 7" deep that will suck a skinny tire(like a 120/70) like a TL tranny... Then there are the holes... like old school Bronx holes but no excuses for salt and freezing weather...

And Geary for the most part runs through a good part of town(after the 1000 block)...

i do that commute every day on 101 and i just ride around all those rutts and potholes most of the time.every now and then i forget one then i wheelie over it.theres alot less potholes this year than last with less rain.
