how to change out knee pucks?

I've tried to pry the worn ones off with a screw driver, but omg it's fucking impossible. There must be some secret I'm missing. Please enlighten me.

I use pliers, and work around the edges till all the tabs are up. Then you just go for the gusto. I have seen where the puck gets too worn down, and melts the Velcro together though. That normally requires a Velcro replacement, and it's best to not go that deep.

the first pair you have to rip off tends to be the most difficult. don't be nice about it. just stick a screw driver down into the center, and then move the screw driver parallel to the knee, it will separate.

lol, yeah, I remember the first time I removed the spent 'factory installed' pucks from a new suit it was pretty difficult. But I didn't make a thread on BARF about it, I just tried harder. Use a screwdriver to pry and pair of pliers to grab and go at it.

You're going to need an old priest and a young priest, a screwdriver and a pair of pliers...

Last longer than what? My leather pucks seem to last a long time, but I don't grind my knee into the pavement either.

I used a long throttle body flat head - Small hammer and drove it in until i could pry but its a night mare and best to do while you are wearing the suit

Small bit of C4. Make sure you shape the charge so it only damages the puck.

Last longer than factory pucks that come on most suits out of the box. Leather pucks would be the exception I guess. I personally, am not a fan of what I've heard of leather pucks... but as always to each their own!
