Just wondering how Neil O'Reily is doing after his get-off yesterday at Thunderhill? Any place we can send a card or greetings and get well soon vibes? One of my favorite Irish guys and always a pleasure to visit with in the pits. Hated to see that helicopter have to come in.

Neill is resting and doing well. I'm headed to Enloe this A.M. and will post up more details with his OK.

Don't know you Neill, but saw you on the ground and then lifted out. We are thinking of you and hope you are well soon.

We stopped by Neill's pits yesterday and his mates told us that he was in surgery at the time :(

Neill is one of my fave racers too, I've been following him since I first met him and the rest of the Irish crew at ButtonWillow donkey's years ago. Always a big smile and a warm welcome when we stop by his pits each race day

I had a dream about him Saturday night. Don't know why

Was shocked to see the helicopter :(

Get well soon Red!!!!! You have a huge crew here pulling for you :thumbup

Yeah I was talking to him at Infineon about my concerns about us 250 guys getting in his way during the 500 twin race, and he always teased me "don't worry . I'm going to have a horn mounted on my 650 and I'll give you a little beep beep when I come up behind you.". He was always encouraging our little group about our progress and asking how our races were going. And thank you Neil- your passes were always clean.

Damn, that sucks. What happened exactly? Was turning in to a good run for the championship this year between him and Korenko..

Heal fast Neil!

Neil was running hard at the front with Kirk Korenko when he had an issue coming out of turn 6. There were no back markers and he was too far away to see what actually happened. Both he and Kirk were in the low 1:55's at the time and they were on their white flag lap.

I wish my very best for Neil. He's a great guy.

I make words too.
I was in six, but had my back to the incident. Given the sound and final bike placement, I would say it was a very significant high-side. He seemed to be through the corner a little wider than he had been all race, but nothing that triggered my crash spidey senses.

Heal up quick Neil!

Neil's tough as nails. Those Irish are tough as it comes. It sucks hearing a helicopter come in. It sucks 100X more when it's your friend. Heal up Neil...and please come hang around when you're able to. There's plenty of people that'll host a you as a celebrity in their pits! Me first brother!

Neill update. He is drugged pretty heavily at the moment and in and out of sleep. Thankfully he has no internal or head injuries. He does have a broken left femur and a fractured left hip all have been fixed with surgery, he also has a dislocated right elbow and right middle finger. He was awake for a bit and wanted to thank everyone for the well wishes . At this point Enloe is trying to transfer him to a Kaiser. I will try and keep his status updated but please no phone calls to yhe hospital.
